CJ "mom the top of my roof hurts"

CJ "yes the top of my roof hurts to swallow"

Me "your roof or your throat?"

CJ "well both of them"

Yep, that is right last Friday at about 4:30 pm he told me the top of his roof hurt and while drinking his milk made it hurt even more. Good thing Cade was to be home from his business trip around 5pm. So I took CJ temperature around 5:00 and sure enough he had a temperature of 100.7. Plus he just didn't look like he felt well. So at 6 Cade and I took him to the doctor and he was positive for strep. This is his first time, but as soon as he told me his "roof hurt" I knew he had strep. Well, we got him some medicine and Saturday he was doing better and by Sunday he was back to himself. Thanks goodness. The craziest thing is he was completely fine all day on Friday until 4:30. He never has had a runny nose or anything. I'm just glad I listen to my motherly instinct and took him to the doctor.
